Planning out the Garden
First we put the onions in front because the onions are if we put a tall plant in front of the onions, they are not going to have enough sunlight and could die. Then we put the fennel in back of onions because the fennel will grow up to 48 feet high and the onions are ground level so it is better to put fennel in back of onions. Then we put the cilantro next to the onions because the clilanto grows up to 12-13 feet high. Then we put the pole beans in back of cilantro because pole beans climb up stakers or supports very tall so it is better to put pole beans in back of cilantro.
The primeter of the garden bed is 36 ft. I found the perimeter by adding the lengths of the sides of our garden. I added 15 + 15 + 3 + 3. We found the area of our garden by multiplying 15 ft x 3ft = 45 sq ft.
